Rural Family Counsellor (Charleville)

We are looking for a Full Time Family Counsellor to work on a Fixed Term contract until 30/06/2021 based at our Charleville office.

The Rural Family Counsellor will provide a range of therapeutic interventions and strategies, in particular counselling and psycho-educational support to families and individual family members in Charleville and within an approximate two-hour (2) travel radius. 

Scope of Role.

• To provide general counselling services including developing case plans and providing interventions and to make referrals of clients as appropriate.
• To provide support for individuals and families with children and young people aged 0-18 years requiring assistance.
• Manage an ongoing caseload and keep up to date client records and accurate statistics.
• To facilitate effective, seamless and timely referrals for clients
• To engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to promote the rural family and individual counselling services
• Participate in team activities such as case discussions and the use of reflecting team strategies.
• Attend regular professional supervision and professional development activities.
• Assist in disaster recovery work if required.
